Despite what many people may think, earning money through AdSense
can be a hard job, and many people work hard doing just that.
Those web site owners who opt for the active and involved approach
tend to earn much more money than those who take the more passive
approach, and when it comes to Google AdSense hard work definitely
pays off.

Some of the hard work that goes into a successful AdSense campaign
include writing and submitting articles to directories, posting to
forums and internet communities, and of course carefully checking
out all those AdSense statistics. In addition, much time will be
spent optimizing the web site and its content to score highly in
search engines, and carefully formatting those ads until they look
just right.

It is important, however, to steer clear of anything that could get
you banned from Google and put an end to that potential windfall.
For instance, there are some companies that may offer to include
your AdSense web site in their newsletter or directory. While many
of these are legitimate and will boost your AdSense revenue, some
of them may violate the terms of service you agreed to when you
became part of the Google AdSense program.

It is important to protect yourself and your AdSense account from
any potential problems of this nature, and it is important as well
to keep abreast of changes in the AdSense terms of service. As we
all know, the internet is always undergoing changes, and Google may
update its terms of service. It is the responsibility of every
participant to know the rules and play by them.

It is also important for web site owners to keep in mind that a
sudden jump in clicks or page impressions will raise a red flag at
Google and attract the attention of their AdSense team. In many
cases those fast growing web sites have been banned for Google,
whether as a result of intentional fraud or honest
misunderstandings.

It is important for all web site owners to
anticipate these kinds of problems, and to react calmly and
rationally in the event of a suspension.

If you do find yourself on the receiving end of a Google
suspension, the best strategy is to remain clam and plan out a
rebuttal strategy before contacting Google. It is important to go
back and document the steps you have taken that have led to the
jump in web site traffic.

When you do contact Google, it is
important to be professional and polite. After all, you are a
businessperson, and it is important to act as such. Provide Google
with all the documentation you need and do not argue with them
about the suspension. After all, your goal is to reverse the
suspension, and being rude and confrontational will do nothing to
get you what you want.

Of course the best strategy is to avoid a suspension from Google in
the first place. One good way to head off potential problems is to
alert Google when you begin to see a surge in traffic. Alerting
the Google AdSense team about the increased traffic, and explaining
where that traffic is coming from, is a good way to keep those
problems from coming up in the first place.
