Edmondson It looks like Internet Marketing’s first internet based reality show is about to wrap up… as the two finalists compete for the coveted position of JV partner with Joel Comm… I remember when I first heard about the idea of the reality show and I was pretty excited about the whole concept.  With a lot of arm twisting and “come on, do it, it will be cool”, from my friends and collegues I actually auditioned for their first casting call while at Big Seminar. Although the show was completely orginal (that’s a nice change of pace in Internet Marketing), and was done very professionally, I wasn’t 100% thrilled with all of the tasks and challenges the contestants were faced with - especially when the show went more “Surviorish” (see the worm eating challenge) and less “Apprentice” like. Also with the business and marketing related challenges, I would have liked to have seen projects that were more Internet Marketing related (i.e. orchestrating a Clickbank based product launch rather than selling popsicles). One final note is that I wish there had been more learning from the experts (how often do you get a chance to see Marlon Sanders or Mark Joyner speak?), and less of the board room drama, but then again this was a reality show and not a seminar, so that wasn’t the intent of the show. With that in mind, I was thrilled to hear about one of the projects that came out of this show, from one of the finalists Jaime Luchuck (who was the only contestant to have the dignity to not eat a worm!) During her two week period on the show, Jaime got to experience what us viewers at home did not… intense learning from the experts, including Mark Joyner, Armand Morin, and Brad Fallon to name a few. While on the show Jaime took extremely detailed notes on everything she learned while on the show including all the marketing tips  and strategies on listbuilding, list-building, copywriting, making videos, branding… the list goes on. What really impressed me about Jaime is she had the idea that, believe it or not, there are people out there (like me) who would have loved to have seen and learned all the information from the presentations and lived without watching people debate over e-commerce chips.
